Want a scooter with proper suspension, a generous battery and a price that leaves room in your budget? Take a closer look at the JOFEN T6 and T10.

Here, we're putting the T6 alongside the single-motor Dragon GTR, and the T10 alongside the dual-motor Dragon Cyclone Pro. Our picks are straightforward: the T6 gives you a bigger battery for less, while the T10 brings dual 1000W motors and hydraulic braking to a much more accessible price.

T6 vs GTR: A bigger battery, a smaller bill

The T6 is the one we'd point you towards if you want a well-equipped single-motor scooter without stretching your budget. At A$899, it comes with a 48V 18Ah battery, front and rear suspension, and 10-inch pneumatic off-road tyres. You're getting the essentials for a comfortable ride, with plenty of battery capacity to work with.

Don't stop at the 600W number

The T6's rear motor delivers 600W of rated power and up to 1000W at peak output. That extra output gives it a reserve beyond its continuous rating when more power is called for.

The GTR has the higher rated output at 800W. But if you're choosing a scooter for the whole package, the T6 makes a strong case: capable single-motor hardware, a larger battery and A$400 left in your pocket.

More room for longer rides

The T6 can cover up to 70 km on a charge, compared with the GTR's up to 45 km. Whether you're planning a longer outing or simply want fewer charging stops, that is an appealing reason to look at the T6.

There's a useful battery advantage behind those numbers, too. Its 864Wh pack holds around 15% more nominal energy than the GTR's 748.8Wh pack. You get that extra capacity while paying less for the scooter.

Suspension and braking are already included

The T6 combines front and rear hydraulic spring suspension with air-filled tyres to cushion bumps and uneven ground. For braking, you get mechanical discs at both wheels plus electronic braking. Choosing the lower-priced scooter doesn't mean leaving these everyday essentials behind.

T10 vs Cyclone Pro: Dual-motor power without the bigger bill

If you want power at both wheels, the T10 is where JOFEN gets especially interesting. You get dual 1000W motors, a 60V 18Ah battery, and front and rear hydraulic brakes with electronic braking. It's a substantial step up from the T6, while keeping the price well below the Cyclone Pro.

The same rated power, with more budget left over

Both scooters have 2000W of total rated motor power. At A$1,099 for the T10 and A$1,999 for the Cyclone Pro, that's an A$900 price difference.

For us, that is the T10's strongest selling point. You can choose dual-motor drive and hydraulic braking without moving into a nearly A$2,000 purchase. Put the difference towards a helmet, a good lock or simply keep it in your budget.

Up to 75 km between charges

The T10 gives you up to 75 km of range, so there's room to plan a longer ride instead of making every outing a short loop around home. The Cyclone Pro's maximum is 60 km.

Their nominal battery energy is close: 1080Wh for the T10 and 1092Wh for the Cyclone Pro. That makes the T10's lower price particularly appealing—you are getting a similar amount of stored energy for considerably less money.

Hydraulic control, with less weight to lift

The T10's front and rear hydraulic brakes work alongside electronic braking, giving you both mechanical and electronic braking systems. Front and rear suspension and 10-inch pneumatic off-road tyres round out the setup for mixed, firm surfaces.

At 29.6 kg, it is also 3.4 kg lighter than the Cyclone Pro. You'll still want to plan how you lift it, but that difference is welcome when loading a scooter into a car or moving it into storage.
